Is Alien Conquest Lego's awnser to X-com?

The newest line from Lego is called "Alien Conquest" and the story is simple. Earth is being invaded by stereotypical B-movie aliens and must fight back, before earth is enslaved. Altough it is obvious that this toyline is inspired by movies like "War of the Worlds", "Earth VS the Flying Saucers" and "Independence Day", it also looks alot like the classic strategy/sim "X-com (UFO)-Enemy Unknown". It might be a stretch, but the "good guys" look like a secret earth military task force with big guns, big armor and big vehicles, fighting aliens in saucers. Either way, this is one of those times, I wish I was a kid again. And I felt like that ever since there was, ninja, cowboy, indiana jones, spiderman, batman and star wars lego!
